Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

This privacy policy describes how MySchoolPilot ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our marketing website and when schools deploy the MySchoolPilot application.

Information we collect

  • Contact forms — name, email, school name, phone, and message content when you schedule walkthroughs or contact us.
  • Application data — when a school deploys MySchoolPilot, student, staff, and parent records are stored in the school's own database under their control.
  • Usage data — standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) on this marketing site.
  • Cookies — see our cookie policy.

How we use information

  • Respond to inquiries and schedule demos
  • Provide support and implementation services
  • Improve our products and documentation
  • Comply with legal obligations

School-controlled data

When MySchoolPilot is self-hosted by a school, that institution is the data controller for student and staff information. Schools are responsible for lawful basis, consent, retention, and access requests for their community data.

Data retention

Marketing inquiry data is retained as long as needed to respond and maintain business records. Application data retention is configured by each deploying school.

Security

We implement access controls, encryption in transit (HTTPS), and security features described on our security page.
